Volvo Cars to launch its first over-the-air software update

It was recently announced that Volvo Cars will be launching its first-ever over-the-air (OTA) software update on the XC40 Recharge, its first fully electric car.

The OTA software will provide a range of updates such as new features, bug fixes, and stability improvements to the car’s infotainment and propulsion systems. Moreover, the software brings other benefits including more charging speed and an improved driving range.

Hence, this will mean that customers won’t have to get their cars to a workshop to get the software and features. Besides, Volvo cars will be able to improve over time when new OTA updates will be launched.

The update will be available automatically, XC40 Recharge drivers will only have to accept the download and installation to get access to it.
