Twitter bans all confusing Coronavirus posts

Twitter says it is taking action to remove content that is promoting any unverified claims and misinformation about Coronavirus.

Any user tweets that put others at a higher risk of contracting Covid-19 are banned under its new revised safety rules.

The ban further extends to unverified claims about specific groups are more susceptible to Coronavirus.

Twitter stated about the change in its revised rules for posts:

“We will enforce this in close co-ordination with trusted partners, including public health authorities and governments, and continue to use and consult with information from those sources when reviewing content.”

The decision follows Facebook’s decision in January who also said it would take down posts that stated unverified information about the Coronavirus.
