New connected car initiative takes off

The concept for the ‘truly connected car’ has emerged due to new developing technologies that are becoming commonplace in the everyday lives of consumers.

A new connected car project from SOASTA and Tata Elxsi will see a luxury car manufacturer develop its technology in this sector.

The connected car initiative

The collaboration between SOASTA and Tata Elxsi will see these technologies implemented in order to complete the project, and when these technologies are applied to a luxury brand, the quality, precision and exacting standards become much more enhanced.

SOASTA’s TouchTest platform will be used to validated and test the performance of key services and ensure the project remains on track.

“Manufacturers’ put new cars through their paces on the test track to assess their performance and reliability and to gain valuable insights. It’s no different for the connected car project. Our test track is the SOASTA platform that allows us to measure and review the performance, reliability and tolerances of key aspects associated with the connected car itself. For such a scalable platform, it is easy to deploy and more affordable and cost effective than offerings from other vendors,” said Nitin Pai, SVP, Tata Elxsi.

“We worked closely with SOASTA’s engineering team to devise the process and scenarios that form the basis of the tests. The support, professionalism and responsiveness of the SOASTA team has helped us to prepare thoroughly for what lies ahead as we gear up for months of detailed and precise performance testing. We anticipate pressing deadlines that will constantly change as the requirements evolve but we have the confidence, reassurance and knowledge that SOASTA’s performance and analytical platform is more than up to the challenge,” added Nitin Pai.
