Title: ‘Improve software quality by focusing on Diversity’

Synopsis: The issue of diversity in tech is gaining more attention every day. As an example, only 19% of tech workers in the UK are women, and this is much less for other diverse groups. As QA integrates into engineering teams it is even more important that companies address the lack of representation of diversity in their engineering teams and how this affects overall software quality. How can a more diverse quality team help to improve software quality? How can companies do more to attract and retain test talent? How can we ensure that we support diversity and careers of testers? Can testers continue to be individuals and use their skills and creativity in their work whilst still connecting to engineering teams? This talk will cover some of the big questions in this area.
