Microsoft 10 update causes Windows Media Player to crash

Microsoft may have released a fixed version of their latest Windows 10 2018 update last week, but now it seems a new issue has arisen from Microsoft’s update.

In the supported documented, first spotted by Windows Latest, Microsoft said its Windows Media Player (WMP) is affected by the update KB4467702 (OS Build 17763.134).

The most recent update to windows causes the Seek Bar in WMP to stop working.

“After installing this update, users may not be able to use the Seek Bar in Windows Media Player when playing specific files,” Microsoft explains.

Although Microsoft is no longer working on WMP, they said that they will provide users with an update as soon as they fix the issue.

The report also stated that there were no additional features included in KB4467708 (OS Build 177763.134).

If the Windows 10 version 1809 update isn’t displayed on your computer, Microsoft advised that users should wait until a new update is released.

Windows 10 users can check for regular updates and patches via the setting and windows update tabs.
