Managing upward: How to effectively drive a quality agenda

As testers, test managers and quality engineers, we deliver high value solutions and results for our businesses and our clients – securing product and brand quality in an ever faster moving digital environment.  However, as advocates of quality, ensuring that our message is actually understood and acted on by Programme sponsors and senior stakeholders remains an endemic challenge.

In this session we’ll review the psychological and practical barriers that often prevent testing being afforded an equal seat at the table when Programmes are being planned, through to how issues raised during testing are often downplayed.

We will then explore how we can set up our Programmes and Functions to better support a quality agenda; how we can overcome the endemic challenge of testing and quality being underplayed; and how we can change to support the above.
