Zero to Hero – Starting a world class accessibility test function from scratch
The NatWest Group puts purpose at the heart of every action and decision. We are focusing on relationships, striving to put the needs of people (colleagues, customers, suppliers, communities and shareholders) at the heart of everything we do. Part of this focus is ensuring absolute digital accessibility.
In September 2020 we recognised that all the NatWest Groups digital accessibility testing was conducted by external suppliers. This presented many challenges and we realised we could do better.
In January 2021 the NatWest Group Quality Centre of Excellence embarked on the journey to establish a world class internal accessibility test function. Less than 1 year later the vison was realised. We now have a capable, highly motivated and high performing accessibility test team that has significant reduced costs, delivery timescales and injected quality earlier in the SDLC.
This endeavour was so successfully that the NatWest team want to evangelize their learning and share their experience. In this talk Ross Thomson and Dominic Plummer will share their learning and experience to the community
