Comment from judges

“It is once again my pleasure to be a judge for The European Software Testing Awards and I’m looking forward to another excellent set of entries. The opportunity for our competency to be celebrated and lessons to be shared is one of the unique elements of the awards themselves. As a judge I am looking for innovations in the testing space that have created a legacy that can be reapplied within their organisations,” says Rod Armstrong, Programme Quality Manager at easyJet.

“Testing is often seen as an ‘afterthought’ or ‘necessary evil’ at the end of a development cycle, entries that have changed this perception and made testing a core and vital element of their delivery approach. Best of luck to all the entrants, I look forward to meeting with as many of you as possible at the awards themselves in November,” Armstrong adds.

Also on the judging panel is Martin Wrigley, Executive Director of the App Quality Alliance (AQuA).

“AQuA is delighted to be taking part in the European Software Testing Awards this year. The recognition and endorsement of top quality work in the field is a key part of our own mission to help the industry further improve the quality of mobile apps. Those who make the grade should be recognised as having done so, and we’re proud to help to reward the great people, companies, apps and processes out there,” Wrigley says.

Anonymous judging delivers a fair result

Judges for The European Software Testing Awards are appointed based on their extensive experience in the software testing and QA field. These seasoned professionals, all of whom currently hold senior management roles guarantee that each entry is judged fairly and accurately.

To ensure complete impartiality all entries are judged anonymously with company and/or individual names, products, or references to any identifiable solution and/or service being removed before being distributed to the judges.

This stringent process means that each winner of an award has done so based purely on merit. So regardless of company size, budget, customer base, market share, influence, vendor, academic, end user, consultant or otherwise; The European Software Testing Awards truly is an independent awards programme that recognises and rewards outstanding achievement.

Winners will be celebrated at Gala Dinner in November

The winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner at Old Billingsgate on 18 November. For those wishing to attend this glittering event, you can book a table here or email interest@softwaretestingawards.com.

The Headline Sponsor for The European Software Testing Awards 2015 is MICRO FOCUS BORLAND, and category sponsors include SOGETI, SQS, SAGE, RANOREX, AMDOCS and CIGNITI.

31 Media, organisers of The European Software Testing Awards and publishers of TEST Magazine would like to thank its sponsors for their support.
