To increase the amount of time people spend using the world’s largest social media network, Facebook is testing a feature called Facebook News Feed, which has customised links to news.
The news feed called Featured Topic will include a link to a news story and a photo, and a couple of sentences of text on a subject, according to an example seen by Reuters.
Facebook said the feature was designed to help consumers discover stories that might be of interest and relevant to them, and to boost attraction.
The company tests potential features and makes frequent changes to the News Feed before making them official.
