AliveCor’s ECG software can now detect three more heart conditions

The medical company AliveCor has recently updated the capabilities of its mobile ECG software so as to identify three more types of heart conditions.

Indeed, the company is now able to detect sinus rhythm with supraventricular ectopy (SVE), sinus rhythm with premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), and sinus rhythm with wide QRS thanks to its KardiaMobile ECG software. The device could already identify atrial fibrillation, bradycardia (slow heart rate), and tachycardia (high heart rate).

This is possible to an update made to the company’s KardiaAI software, which has been approved by the FDA in November.

The updated software is even more essential as it will allow providers to have a better understanding of their patients’ symptoms and how to treat them. With the device, the patients will have the possibility to record and upload their readings right away and from their home, something extremely important at the moment.

Besides, the software-enabled device is compatible with the KardiaMobile System, the Triangle System, and the Omron Model BP7900 Blood Pressure Monitor + EKG.
