On the 17th and 18th May 2016, the annual National Software Testing Conference took place at The British Museum, with a great Gala Dinner on the first day at the Grand Connaught Rooms. The two-day conference saw delegates enjoying talks from top industry experts; from easyJet, AVIVA, Virgin Media to The Telegraph and many, many more.
At the end of the two-day conference, which combined software testing and DevOps for the first time, attendees were asked to share their thoughts.
Sophie, a Business Development Executive, said, “This event has been great to learn about upcoming developments within the industry,” while going on to say that it was great to be involved in such a widely evolving culture.
A Platform and Test Manager from Lloyds attended the CA Technology roundtable on “the general data protection regulations coming out of Europe.” He said, “The roundtable was a really interesting session.”
As this was the year we combined The National Software Testing Conference with The National DevOps Conference, we asked Keith Watson, Agile Delivery Manager for Ordnance Survey, and a speaker at this year’s conference his thoughts: “I’ve really enjoyed the National DevOps Conference, it’s been great to meet people who I can talk to about DevOps and testing, and all of the talks have been very valuable.”
Sponsors thoroughly enjoyed meeting the delegates
Michelle Horrobin, Product Manager at BCS, said, “The audience have been very engaging here today, they have been very lively, and people have wanted to share information and collaborate. So yeah, it’s been very positive.”
The Marketing Manager for Perfecto had the following to say, “We enjoyed coming to the event to meet with testing professionals and to be able to showcase our solutions. It was great.”
Thanks from the organiser
Overall the conference was a great success, and we’re incredibly happy with the turn out and all of the brilliant talks that took place over the course of the two days. We’d like to thanks all of the attendees, sponsors, and speakers for being in attendance and giving the event a fantastic atmosphere and making it what it was. We look forward to welcoming you all again next year!
And if you thoroughly enjoyed this year’s conference, do attend our Software Testing Conference NORTH, which will see software testing experts convening in York, on the 27-28 September 2016 for a two-day conference.
